Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

All-Around Team Effort Leads Pacific to 75-61 Win Over Dubuque

Three Boxers scored in double figures including Brilie Kovaloff (16 points), who hit four of the Boxers' seven 3-pointers, Camy Aguinaldo (16 points) and Sydney Gray (10 points) led Pacific to a 75-61 win over the University of Dubuque on Sunday afternoon.

A 3-pointer by the Boxers' Courtney Carolan put Pacific ahead 5-3 with 7:57 left in the first quarter to set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Pacific remained in front for the rest of the contest.

Dubuque (4-6) was led by a 19-point effort from Tabria Thomas, who was joined in double figures by Kennedy Litvinoff, who had 13 points.

With both teams shooting under 40% in the game, it was the Pacific defense that proved to be the difference as the Boxers' forced 32 turnovers in the win. Pacific capitalized on the Spartans miscues, scoring 40 points in the win.

To complement the efforts of the three Boxers in double figures, Alexis Intong nearly had a double double with nine points and eight rebounds and Rilee Price had five points, nine rebounds and six assists in the win.

Pacific heads into Northwest Conference play for its next game with a two-game winning streak and a 6-3 mark. It marks the second-straight year that the Boxers have had six non-conference wins. The last time that Pacific had back-to-back seasons of six non-conference wins was 2011-12, 2012-13.

Conference play will get underway on Friday, January 3rd against Linfield at 6 p.m. at the Stoller Center.
