The Pacific University baseball team extended its winning streak to seven games with an 11-4 win over host Lewis & Clark on Sunday afternoon.
The Boxers (9-3) have had at least eight hits in all seven wins. Pacific held a 5-4 lead in the top of the ninth before scoring six times en route to the victory.
Ian Blair (pictured above) made the most of his fifth start in 12 games, going 3-for-5 with six RBI and three runs scored to lead the Boxer offense, who pounded out 10 hits.
Ryan Krout and
Eli Wisdom each had two hits in the win; plus, Krout had three more RBI and Wisdom added two. The three combined for seven of the 10 hits to lead Pacific.

Sam Lawrence raised his record to 4-0, going 6.1 innings, allowing six hits, three runs (two earned) and striking out two in the win.
Liam Cammall pitched the final 1.2 innings, allowing three hits for his first save.
An unearned run in the second inning put the Pioneers ahead 1-0 before the Boxers regained the lead with four-run third inning. Three of the four runs came in on a bases loaded, three-RBI double to center field by Blair. A RBI ground out by Krout, scored Blair to end the game for the Lewis & Clark starting pitcher.
The Pioneers came back with two in its half of the third, making it a 4-3 contest. Blair stretched the lead to two, 5-3, when he hit a solo home run in the fifth inning. Again, Lewis & Clark made it a one-run contest in the eighth scoring a pair of runs before Cammall got back-to-back pop outs to end the inning.

The ninth inning saw the Boxers score six runs on four hits including a pair of two-RBi singles by Blair and Wisdom, respectively. Also, in the inning, Krout hit a two-run home run. Cammall kept Lewis & Clark off the scoreboard in the bottom half of the inning to pick up the save.
Next, Pacific comes back home to Chuck Bafaro Stadium where they will host Linfield for a three-game series. Action starts on Saturday, March 2 with a doubleheader at noon.
