Boxers Win Two More in Hawaii to Extend Winning Streak to Three

The Pacific University volleyball team ended its trip to Hawaii with a pair of wins over Wells College (N.Y.) and Simpson College (Iowa). The Boxers began the day with a 25-22, 25-22, 25-18 win over Wells and wrapped up the day with a 25-27, 14-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-7 win over Simpson. The victory over Simpson saw Pacific bounce back from Saturday's five-set loss to the Storm.

Pacific (5-3) started the day with its second-consecutive, straight-set win over the Express of Wells. A balanced offensive attack for Pacific saw Jordan Zweifel record 10 kills, Milana Ivkovic (pictured) and Elika Unti added eight and seven to an attack that hit .301. Haley Walz added six digs and four aces in the win.

The Boxers closed out the day, coming back from a two-set deficit for the five-set win over Simpson, who was vying for an undefeated record on its trip to the 50th state.

After hitting at .156 and .000 in the opening two sets, Pacific came alive in the final three sets to complete the five-set win. In the final three sets, the Boxers hit .171, .242 and .273. In the win, Milana Ivkovic had 16 kills and two blocks, Jordan Zweifel added 11 kills and two blocks and Makenna Mahuna had 45 assists and three service aces to lead the Boxers.
