FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University women's soccer team concluded the season on Sunday with a 1-0 loss to Whitman College in double overtime. Prior to the match, the Boxers recognized eight seniors who played their final games in the Red and Black.

The Boxers were able to come out firing on the offense end to open the contest by outshooting the Blues 4-0 in the first 12 minutes of the contest. In the 24
th minute Ortiz was able to provide a shot on frame that was saved by the Blues keeper. The Boxers would keep the offensive pressure on in the opening half when they fired two shots less the two minutes apart to end the half.
Pacific's offense cooled down in the second half when they were only able to put one shot on frame in the half. The Boxer's defense however was the highlight of the second half by only allowing one shot which was not on goal.
The first overtime period was played fairly even with one shot being attempted between the two teams. The winning goal would be scored in the 4
th minute of the second overtime when the Blues were able to draw a foul in the box, creating the game winning penalty kick.
