FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University men's basketball team dropped a contest Saturday night to Pacific Lutheran by a score of 97-84. The Lutes were able to lead the game wire-to-wire to cruise to the victory.

The Boxers (3-5, 0-2 NWC) were forced to take a timeout one minute into the contest following a turnover and a missed jumper from the Boxers in which the Lutes (5-2, 2-0 NWC) converted into a 4-0 lead. The Lutes would continue to find offensive success going on a 12-2 scoring run over the next four minutes. The Lutes were able to swell their lead up to 21 before taking a 53-34 lead into the halftime period.

The Boxers, however would not go away easily coming out in the second half. The Boxers would trail by as many as 29 in the first 8 minutes of the half before the Boxers would go on a 33-14 scoring run that was capped off by two good free throws from
Ethan Chung (Junior/San Ramon, CA). Chung would convert another layup to pull within 8 before PLU would pull away converting 5-6 free throws over the last minute of the contest.

- Jacob Bolger (Junior/Portland, OR) led the Boxers for the second straight night with 15 points
