The Pacific University softball team split games three and four of the weekend series Sunday morning at George Fox.

Pacific (6-12) opened the scoring in game one in the top of the second inning when
Hailey Miller hit a homerun to centerfield. The Boxers held a 1-0 lead until the fourth inning when George Fox (10-6) scored 5 runs on two RBI singles and a 3-run homerun. A double down the line in the 5
th added one more run for the Bruins to take a 6-1 lead into the 6
th inning. Pacific answered the George Fox scoring run by scoring seven runs in the top of the sixth to take an 8-6 lead. The scoring in the sixth was highlighted by RBI singles from
Sydney Sahlfeld and
Kylee Ancheta-Maeda and a 2 RBI double off the bat of
Kiana Kushiyama. George Fox added one run in the 7
th,
 giving the Boxers the 8-7 victory.

Game two got off to a quick start as
Montana Vaught singled through the left side driving in a run for the Boxers. The Bruins responded in the 2
nd inning with a 2-run homerun before
Sydney Sahlfeld singled home a run in the 3
rd inning to tie the game at 2. Pacific found themselves down 3 to 2 in the 6
th inning when
Kiana Kushiyama stepped up to the plate and hit a sacrifice fly to center to score the game tying run. George Fox took the game on a walk off single in the bottom of the 7
th to win 4-3.

Pacific will play next on April 2
nd and 3
rd in a four game series versus Whitworth University in Forest Grove.
