The Pacific University volleyball team wrapped up the 2021 spring season Friday night against George Fox with a win in five sets.

The Bruins got off to a strong start winning set one with a 44% hitting percentage compared to the 14% from the Boxers. George Fox was able to score the last three points of the set to win set one 25-17.

After Pacific saw themselves lose the first four points of the second set they went on a 6-2 run to get themselves even in the set at 6 all. The Boxers were able to put away the second set 25-22 following a 6-0 scoring run. The run was capped off by a kill from
Claire Stipsits on an assist from
Shaianne Cambra.

The Boxers kept the momentum in the third set jumping out to an early 3-0 lead. In a set that included runs by each team, Pacific came out on top 25-20 following a kill by
Elika Unti.

Following the Bruins taking set four to even the match at two sets each, the Boxers came out strong in game five taking a 14-6 lead only needing one more point to claim the victory. George Fox responded to the large lead held by the Boxers by going on a 7-0 run to put the score at 14-13.
Nanea Lum was able to give the Boxers the final point taking set five 15-13.

The Boxers finish the spring 2021 season with a record of 6-2.
