Coach Yellico Wins 2021 NWC Coach of the Year

Pacific University men's tennis coach, Pete Yellico, has been named Northwest Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year for 2021. The award is the first for Coach Yellico, who also won 2016 ITA Western Region Assistant Coach of the Year.

In 2021, Yellico led the Boxers to a 2nd place finish in the NWC with a 12-2 overall record while finishing 7-1 in the conference. Pacific also finished the year undefeated in matches contested in Forest Grove.

Pacific had 3 players selected for the first team all-conference team and 1 player on the second team. Yellico adds these four players to his total of 14 players who previously received all-conference honors under his direction.

Yellico's best accomplishment for the 2021 season was the Boxers achieving their highest regional ranking ever. The Boxers are ranked 4th in the West region while also having a doubles team ranked 5th in the region.
