FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University men's soccer team was edged by Warner Pacific on Sunday afternoon, as the Knights nicked a golden goal in overtime to earn the 2-1 victory over the Boxers.
 
The Boxers (3-2) opened the scoring in the 15^th minute after Lucas Muller (Senior/Independence, OR) finished off a wonderful attacking move, but Warner Pacific would equalize via a penalty kick shortly after halftime. The Knights would finally find the winner just three minutes into overtime.
 
It was a fairly even contest, but Warner Pacific managed to hold the advantage in shots (12-7) and shots on target (8-4). The Knights also forced 13 corners while the Boxers were unable to win a corner in the match.
 
Noah Edwards (Freshman/Honolulu, HI) did very well to create a scoring chance for Muller in the 15^th minute and the senior provided a wonderful finish to give Pacific the early 1-0 lead.
 
Following a dangerous attack from the Knights that led to a foul in the box, Miguel Andalon-Cruz would convert from the penalty spot to level the match.
 
The Knights eventually scored the game-winning goal in the 93^rd minute when Arturo Bahena tucked his shot inside the post to give his team the win.

• Zachary Aderinto (Freshman/Kailua-Kona, HI) made six saves in goal
• The Boxers have lost their last three contests against Warner Pacific.
