FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University Volleyball team defeated the Cyclones of Mills College, 3-0. The Boxers swept the Cyclones with scores of 25-8, 15-10, 25-15.
The Boxer offense was led by Freshman Mara Murphy (Salt Lake City, UT). Murphy posted a match high 12 kills while fellow freshman Sarah Hon (Fraizer Park, CA) contributed 8. As a whole, the Boxers tallied 45 kills across the 3 sets while hitting a season high .417. Claire Stipsits (Ontario, Canada) added three aces while contributing a .500 hitting percentage.
The Boxers will open conference play on the road next weekend as they travel to Washington to face Whitman College and Whitworth University.
