PORTLAND, Ore.- The Pacific University Volleyball team fell in three straight sets Saturday night at Lewis and Clark (4-6, 2-2 NWC), 23-25, 21-25, 24-26.
Although the Boxers fell in straight sets, the match proved to be tight all the way through as there were 17 tied points and nine lead changes throughout the match.
The Pioneers posted 50 kills in the match in comparison to the Boxers' 36. Despite defeat, the Boxers did record more blocks and aces in the match than the hosts.
The Pacific middle blockers had a great evening tallying 16 kills in the match.
Elika Unti (Castro Valley, CA) racked up a team-high eight kills. Setter
Shaianne Cambra (Kapolei, HI) posted her third consecutive double-double as she collected 26 assists and 18 digs in the three-set match.
