FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific men's soccer earned its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Lewis & Clark, under the lights at Hanson Stadium.
Cooper Sheakley netted the winner in the 67
th minute, scoring his first goal of the season. The Boxers' defense delivered an excellent performance as the Pioneers did not attempt a shot in the contest.

- Defenders Mason Tomich and Tyler Wong anchored a strong backline, playing all 90 minutes to keep a clean sheet for the second straight game.
- Nico Allen provided his second assist of the year.
How It Happened
Pacific immediately took control of the match and dominated possession in the early minutes. Sheakley nearly opened the scoring in the 12
th minute with his headed attempt but the goalkeeper managed to get a hand to it. The Boxers created a handful of half chances in the remaining minutes of the first half, but couldn't seem to find the final ball.
In the final 45 minutes, Forest Grove's team was much more dangerous in the attacking third as Sheakley tested the keeper yet again shortly after kickoff.
The breakthrough finally came in the 67
th minute when
Camden Wyatt lobbed a ball through to Allen making a run down the right flank. The winger skipped past a defender before whipping a wonderful cross to Sheakley waiting in front of goal, and the striker made no mistake with his first-time finish to score the winner.
Pacific's defense held strong in the final minutes to clinch the team's first win of 2022.
