FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Pacific was unable to bring the losing streak to an end as Willamette came away with the 4-2 win on Saturday afternoon at Hanson Stadium.
The Bearcats netted two goals in each half to build a 4-0 advantage. The Boxers were bright for the final 30 minutes and scored twice to cut the lead in half. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late and the visitors would hang on to grab all three points.

- Alivia Pittman scored her first collegiate goal and provided an excellent 77 minutes.
- Rhyah Jackson netted her fourth goal of the year in the 78th minute.
How It Happened
Willamette scored just 29 seconds in the contest when Nina Krassner-Cybulski pounced on a loose ball to give her team and early lead. Pacific responded well and gained a foothold in the match, but the visitors doubled their lead against the run of play in the 33
rd minute.
Shortly after halftime, Ella Abraham made it a three-goal lead for the Bearcats and in the 58
th minute, Erin Denney's long-range effort found the back of the net to extend the lead to four goals.
In the 64
th minute, Pittman found some space on the edge of the box before unleashing a powerful left-footed shot into the top corner to get a goal back for Pacific.
The Boxers worked another brilliant attacking move in the 78
th minute when
Brooklyn Yano carried the ball deep into the penalty area before laying off to Jackson, who slotted her chance home to make the score 4-2.
Willamette held on for the final 12 minutes to solidify the three points.
What It Means
Pacific falls to 5-8-3 overall and 2-8-3 in Northwest Conference play.
