FOREST GROVE, Ore.- The Pacific University wrestling teams had a dominant performance in tonight's wrestling meet. The Boxers had great showings on both the men's and women's sides of the competition going 14-5 overall on the night.
Brody Piercy (Terrebonne, OR) opened the event with a come from behind victory. Piercy was down 4-10 at one point when he was wrestling Warner Pacific's Gambala. Piercy prevailed and won the match 13-12.
On the women's side, Gillian Venditti (Caldwell, ID) shutout her opponent, 10-0.
Loudyn Reese (Hillsboro, OR) went 2-0 tonight pinning both of his opponents in the first round.
The Boxers got their final win of the meet from Andrew Zinn (Lakewood, WA), when he pinned Linfield's Rothwell in the first round.
