Pacific closed the 2023 season Saturday on a high note, defeating Puget Sound 3-1 inside the Stoller Center.
After dropping the first set 22-25, the Boxers roared back to win three straight sets, 25-19, 27-25 and 28-26.
Tied 25-25 in the third set,
Alison Brown delivered back-to-back kills to give Pacific a 2-1 lead.
Trailing 25-26 in the fourth set, another Brown kill evened the set at 26-26. After a Puget Sound attack error got the Boxers to match point, an ace by Brown finished off the Loggers.
Brown finished the match with 16 kills, two aces and 11 digs.
Mara Murphy recorded 22 kills, two aces and four blocks.
Kayla Craft added nine kills and four blocks.Â
Justyce Schilz led Pacific in the middle, finishing with seven blocks.
Emily Cheavtharn recorded 45 assists and 10 digs.
Danica Nelson added 20 digs.
The win was the Boxers third straight. Pacific finishes the 2023 season 5-11 in the Northwest Conference and 9-16 overall.Â
