Adam Landy was in position to score both Pacific's first goal of 2023 and his first as a Boxer.
But an Evergreen State defender got there first, putting the ball in the back of the net for an own goal.
Brodie Buchert fired the initial shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute as Pacific defeated the Geoducks 1-0 Sunday night in an exhibition match at Hanson Stadium.
Goalkeepers
Zach Aderinto (first half) and
Keolakupono Mataele (second half) combined for the shutout. Each had two saves in the win.
The Boxers, who finished 1-0-1 in their two exhibitions, open the regular season Friday at Multnomah.
