Playing in front of the home crowd was exactly what Pacific needed.
The Boxers opened the Oregon Trail Classic Thursday night inside the Stoller Center with a convincing 3-1 (25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 25-21) victory over Schreiner.
Junior
Mara Murphy had 23 kills, 13 digs and four blocks to lead Pacific to its first win of the 2023 season.
Senior
Emily Cheavtharn recorded 49 assists and 10 digs.
Danica Nelson added 23 digs and three aces.
Victoria Patnaude and
Anneke Hanson contributed to the block party, each finishing with four in the victory.
The Boxers continue play in the Oregon Trail Classic Friday at home against Loras College at 2 p.m. and McMurry at 7 p.m.
