Pacific returns to Hanson Stadium Saturday to take on the reigning Northwest Conference champions.
 
Whitworth, 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the NWC this season, visits Forest Grove on a 10-game conference winning streak. 
 
The Pirates, ranked No. 14 in the D3football.com Top 25 poll, have won 16 consecutive regular season games with their last loss coming on Nov. 12, 2022 to George Fox. 
 
Whitworth defeated Puget Sound 42-24 on Oct. 19 to clinch an 11th straight winning season under head coach Rod Sandberg.
 
Saturday's game features the top two rushers in the Northwest Conference. Pacific junior Brody Bantolina leads all of Division-III in rushing yards (980) and rushing yards per game (163.3). Whitworth junior Luis Salgado has rushed for 559 yards and five touchdowns.
 
Whitworth quarterback Ryan Blair is tied for third in Division-III with 25 passing touchdowns. The senior from Spokane has completed 121 of 184 attempts for 1,710 yards and thrown just one interception this season.
 
Senior Evan Liggett leads the NWC with 685 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
 
Pacific junior Josiah Chaffin is third in the conference with 587 yards and five touchdowns. 
 
After starting the season 3-1, the Boxers have lost back-to-back games to Pacific Lutheran and Lewis & Clark.
 
Pacific's defense allowed 622 total yards in a 51-37 loss at Lewis & Clark.
 
Whitworth linebacker Zach Brooks leads the NWC with 61 total tackles. Senior Daniel McKeirnan is tied for second in the conference with three interceptions.
 
Pacific is 3-10 versus Whitworth since 2010. The Boxers won 14-7 in 2021.
