Boxers finish season with convincing win over George Fox

Pacific's 29 seniors finished their football careers in style Saturday at Hanson Stadium.

The Boxers dominated visiting George Fox 39-11 to close out the 2024 season.

Pacific finished with 489 total yards while holding the Bruins to just 165 yards of offense.

The Boxers, who broke a five-game losing streak against George Fox, scored on their first possession as running back Brody Bantolina broke free for a 48-yard touchdown run.

Bantolina had 133 yards and two touchdowns to finish his junior year with 1,533 rushing yards, a new Pacific single-season record, and 15 touchdowns, tying the record.

Through three seasons, Bantolina has 2,917 yards, which is also the Pacific career record.

After Kalai Pasi added a 4-yard touchdown run to give the Boxers a 13-0 lead, George Fox blocked and returned the extra point for a touchdown.

With the Boxers leading 39-9, George Fox blocked and returned a second extra point for a touchdown, becoming just the second Division-III program to achieve such a feat.

But in between the two blocked extra points, Pacific remained in control. Jackson Green kicked two field goals, connecting from 24 and 23 yards.

Quarterback Braeden Titus then found tight end Brandon Racz for a 12-yard touchdown. After Bantolina reached the end zone from the 13-yard line, Titus connected with Kai Bookland for a 5-yard touchdown strike.

Titus completed 25 of 36 passes for 290 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He finishes his senior season with 2,198 yards, 14 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Sophomore Riley Camarillo had seven catches for 114 yards in the victory.

Sophomore Anthony Lopez had five tackles, including three for loss, and forced a fumble to lead the Boxer defense. Senior Joseph Taylor-Pate recorded five tackles and an interception.

With back-to-back wins, Pacific finished 5-5 overall and 3-4 in the Northwest Conference, good enough for fifth behind Linfield (7-0), Whitworth (6-1), Pacific Lutheran (5-2) and Lewis & Clark (4-3).
