TACOMA, Wash. -- Pacific junior
Noah Gosch cashed in a penalty kick with less than a minute remaining on the clock and the Boxers left Puget Sound with a 3-3 tie Sunday afternoon.
The Northwest Conference match went back-and-forth with Pacific striking first on a goal by
Garrett Heuett, assisted by Gosch, in the 33rd minute to give the Boxers a 1-0 lead at halftime.Â
After the Loggers tied the game at 1-1 in the 50th minute, senior
Jayden Adkison put Pacific back on top just a minute later on an assist from senior
Adam Landy.Â
But Puget Sound tied the game at 2-2 on a penalty kick in the 71st minute and then took the lead with another goal in the 74th minute.
Both teams finished with seven shots on goal. Pacific goalkeeper
Zach Aderinto recorded four saves.
The Boxers improved to 6-6-2 in the NWC, handing Puget Sound it's seventh tie in conference play.
Tie tie broke a two-match losing streak against the Loggers. Pacific last defeated Puget Sound in 2019.
