Pacific defeated Whitworth 8-1 Sunday at the Holce Tennis Courts to improve to 2-0 in the Northwest Conference.
The Boxers won all six singles matches.Â
After dropping the first set 1-6,
Cassidy Binder stormed back to defeat Gracie Smyley 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
Sydnie Binder cruised past Paige Oliver 6-1, 6-0 at 2 singles.
Stella Nishimura edged Jordan Turner-Esposito 6-2, 7-5 at 3 singles.
Sofia Mazzola won 6-1, 6-3 at 4 singles and
Valentina Casab-Klescova came away with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at 5 singles.
Mia Yamaguchi completed the singles sweep with a 6-4, 6-0 win at the No. 6 spot.
Sydnie and
Cassidy Binder defeated Smyley and Oliver 8-2 at 1 doubles. Nishimura and Mazzola won 8-3 at 2 doubles.
Next, the Boxers travel to southern California to play four matches over five days, beginning with Occidental College in Los Angeles on March 22.Â
