WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Pacific settled for runner-up in the Northwest Conference after falling to No. 1 Whitman 5-1 Sunday afternoon in the women's tennis championship match.

Cassidy Binder and Sydnie Binder remained undefeated at No. 1 doubles to earn the Boxers only point. The Binder sisters defeated Teleya Blunt and Arianna Castellanos 8-5.

Whitman won at No. 2 and 3 doubles as well as 3, 4 and 6 singles to secure the 2024 NWC championship. 

Pacific played in the conference postseason tournament for the first time since 2010 and advanced to the NWC finals for the first time in program history after defeating George Fox 5-4 in the semifinals on Saturday.
