MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --
CJ Colyer gave Pacific an early spark, hitting his Northwest Confernece leading 17th home run of the season in the top of the first inning.
But the Boxers couldn't hold the momentum for all nine innings, falling 5-4 at Linfield Wednesday afternoon.
The Wildcats tied the game at 3-3 on a two-run homer to left field in the bottom of the third inning.
After
Benjamin Lewis drove home Colyer on an RBI single to left field in the top of the fifth to give Pacific a 4-3 lead, Linfield's Nick Holm hit the game-winning two-run homer to left field in the bottom of the inning.
Colyer finished 1-for-2 at the plate with three walks, a home run, two runs and two RBIs.
Matt Gibbs was 2-for-4 with a double and scored a run.
Dawson Tokishi and
Hunter Zielasko also had doubles in the loss.
Pacific dropped to 22-14 overall and will enter the final weekend of the regular season 10-11 in the Northwest Conference.
Next, the Boxers hosts Lewis & Clark on Friday and Sunday.
