Down a player for the final 30 minutes, Pacific did not flinch.Â
The Boxer defense held visiting Multnomah scoreless and freshman Carter Zeiset scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute as Pacific opened the 2024 season with a 2-1 victory Friday night at Hanson Stadium.
The Boxers never trailed as
Donovan Jaramillo started the scoring with a goal on an assist from Zeiset in the 21st minute.Â
Multnomah tied the game at 1-1 just before halftime.Â
Noah Gosch was then given a second yellow card in the 59th minute, forcing Pacific to play a man down the rest of the way.
The Boxers won their season opener for the first time since the 2021 season.
Pacific is back in action Sunday at home against Bushnell.Â
