MCMINNVILLE -- Behind four second-half goals, Pacific opened Northwest Conference play with a bang Sunday afternoon, dismantling rival Linfield 4-1.

Brodie Buchert scored in the 52nd minute to tie the match at 1-1.
Adam Landy scored two goals, first in the 59th minute and the Pacific senior then struck again in the 76th minute to give the Boxers a 3-1 advantage. Buchert added a second goal in the 79th minute to stretch Pacific's lead to 4-1.
The Boxers fired off 15 shots in the victory, including nine on goal. Pacific goalkeeper Zach Adertinto recorded four saves.
The win was the Boxers third straight over Linfield after sweeping the series last season. The four goals were the most Pacific has scored in a match since a 4-0 victory over Lewis & Clark on Sept. 17, 2023.
