The Pacific football team will celebrate homecoming on Saturday afternoon against Willamette.
The Northwest Conference game is a rematch from Sept. 13 when the Boxers rolled to a 42-0 victory as part of the Oregon Cup series.
Recording its first shutout since 2022, Pacific forced five interceptions in the win, including a pick-six to stretch the lead to 28-0.
The Pacific offense gained 438 total yards.
Sophomore quarterback
Keaton Smith completed 11 of 18 passes for 137 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Four different receivers caught a touchdown in the win.
Josiah Chaffin had five receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Both teams enter the rematch 1-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
Pacific is fresh off a 47-29 loss at Pacific Lutheran while Willamette fell 45-28 at Puget Sound last Saturday.
Willamette quarterback Luke Rasmussen has completed 92 of 190 pass attempts for 1,240 yards, nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Senior Trajan Clark, 415 yards and four touchdowns, and sophomore Jonah Luhrsen, 399 yards and three touchdowns, lead the Bearcats receiving corps.
Sophomore Masen Uribe has rushed for 251 yards and two touchdowns.
Linebacker Javi Rodriguez is third in the NWC with 47 total tackles, including 23 solos.
Pacific senior
Brody Bantolina is third in the conference with 404 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Byson Vasquez leads the Boxer defense with 40 total tackles, including 27 solos.
Pacific has won 11 straight games against Willamette, dating back to the 2014 season. The Bearcats have lost 51 straight conference games with the last win coming against Lewis & Clark, 35-21, on Oct. 29, 2016.
Saturday's game kicks off at 1 p.m. at Hanson Stadium.
