SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Making his first college start at goalkeeper, Pacific freshman
Kobi Miyamoto recorded seven saves to lead the Boxer men's soccer team to a 0-0 tie Saturday against La Verne.
Miaymoto's final save came in the 81st minute to preserve the shutout.
Pacific had three shots on goal, including two in the first six minutes by junior transfer
Nico Lomanto and senior
Adam Landy.
Sophomore Elliot Morgan then fired a shot on goal in the 79th minute but could not find the back of the net.
