SPOKANE, Wash. – A new day brought a similar result as the Pacific baseball team fell 20-10 Sunday at Whitworth.
With the win, the Pirates completed the three-game series sweep, scoring 58 total runs over the two days.
The Boxers scored six runs in the top of the third inning to take a 6-5 lead. However, Whitworth answered with six runs in the bottom of the frame and six more in the fourth.
The Pirates finished with 18 hits. Pacific had 13 hits.
Pacific junior
Trevor Kazahaya went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs.
Zander Ditona also homered in the loss.
Javin Hamura was 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.
Alex Laureano and
Matthew Pavao were also 2-for-4 at the plate.
The Boxers dropped to 3-9 in the Northwest Conference and 6-18 overall.
