Kyle Treadway is in his fourth season as an assistant coach with Pacific baseball.
He is in his second season as a full-time role, where he serves as the head JV coach and assistant coach on the Boxer varsity program.
The 2019 season saw Pacific rise from a preseason pick of eighth in the Northwest Conference to a second-place finish and a spot in the Northwest Conference Baseball Tournament. Pacific won 25 contests for its most wins since the 2016 season and 19 conference wins for its most since 2012. The Boxers were led by pitcher Casey Brown, who was selected all-region by American Baseball Coaches Association (Second Team) and D3Baseball.com (Third Team) and all-Northwest Conference (First Team) en route to Pacific University Male Senior Student-Athlete of the Year honors. Brown and Pacific pitchers racked up 269 strikeouts and posted a 4.14 ERA (lowest since 2013).
His efforts as a recruiter saw newcomers Jacob Igawa (Hilo, Hawaii) and Jordan Hara (Aiea, Hawaii) make an immediate impact as both saw significant playing time as freshmen. Igawa hit at a .323 clip with 30 hits (5th on the team), including a team-best 11 doubles; whereas Hara hit .274 with 20 hits and nine RBIs.
Prior to being elevated to a full-time role, Treadway spent two seasons as a part-time assistant coach. In 2017, under his tutelage of the pitching staff, the Boxers lowered their team ERA to from 5.19 in 2016 to 4.37 in 2017. Plus, pitchers struck out 258 batters in 338 innings of work.
A four-year letterwinner for the Boxers from 2012-2015, he posted a career ERA of 3.48 over 222 innings of work. During his junior season, in 2014, he made 11 appearances with a team-best 2.68 ERA in 74 innings of work.
Treadway is a graduate of Phoenix High School in southern Oregon, where he earned first team all-conference honors in both baseball and football.
He earned his bachelor's degree from Pacific in politics and government.
