Reese McCulley

Entering into his second season in 2016 as a Pacific assistant and pitching coach is Reese McCulley.
 
McCulley is a former pitching standout at Linfield.
 
McCulley was a critical part of the Wildcats’ pitching rotation when they won the Northwest Conference and NCAA Division III West Region championships in 2008 and 2010.  A three-time All-NWC selection, including a first team nod in 2009, McCulley was named to the Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII Baseball Team in 2009 and was selected to the West Regional All-Tournament Team in 2010.  McCulley finished his career with 21 victories in 46 appearances and is tied for 15th on Linfield’s all-time wins list.
 
Upon graduation, McCulley signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco Giants and played the 2010 season in the organization’s Arizona Rookie League team.
 
Since ending his playing career, McCulley has earned a reputation as a sought after private pitching coach.  He started Portland Pitching in 2012 and has worked with over 200 pitchers at varying levels of the game.
 
A native of Salem, McCulley played his prep baseball at Sprague High School.  He graduated from Linfield in 2010 with a degree in business management.  He also holds a trainer’s certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
