The mainstay for Pacific the last four years at punter, Aaron Koford enters his first season with Pacific as the program’s kickers coach.
Koford was a Honorable Mention All-NWC selection in 2013 after finishing third in the league with 35 punts and 1,301 yards. He led the NWC with 15 punts that landed inside the 20-yard line and 13 punts fair caught. He had his season-long punt of 55 yards against Linfield on Nov. 16.
As a junior, Koford led the NWC and was ranked 30th among NCAA Division III kickers with an average of 39.1 yards per punts. In his sophomore campaign, Koford finished second in the NWC with 48 punts and third with 1,599 punting yards.
In addition to his work on the football field, Koford was a four-year member of the Pacific track and field team. He finished seventh in the 2014 NWC decathlon and also competed at the conference meet in the pole vault. His 5,851 points in the decathlon is fourth best in Pacific in Pacific history while his personal best of 140 feet, 10 inches in the discus is seventh.
Koford played his prep football at Wilsonville High School where he was a 2009 All-Northwest Oregon Conference selection at outside linebacker. He was also an all-conference and all-state selection in track in the 200 meters and the discus.
A native of Wilsonville, Koford graduated from Pacific in 2014 with a degree in literature.
