Gabe Flory is in his seventh season as an assistant coach on the Pacific football staff, as he in his third season as defensive line coach after coaching linebackers for four seasons (2014-17). He returned to the Pacific football coaching staff in 2019 after spending the 2018 season as an assistant coach at Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona.Â
Flory's first year coaching at Pacific was the fall of 2014 helping lead the Boxers to the Northwest Conference Championship the first for the program since 1952. While coaching linebackers he was instrumental in the tutelage of Jack Perez, who finished his career as one of the top players in program history. Perez was the first player in program history to be named first team All-American (American Football Coaches Association) and also earned first team all-West Region by D3football.com and first team all-Northwest Conference after making a school record 123 tackles. He was also selected as the NWC Defensive Player of the Year.
In 2016, Flory helped coach the Pacific defense to 25 forced turnovers and 33 sacks. The 33 sacks are the most since they recorded 35 in 2013 during Flory's senior season.
Flory was a four-year member of the re-start of the Pacific football program, which was resurrected in 2010. As a freshman he played in nine games recording 18 tackles with a sack, fumble recovery and forced fumble. He played in limited action over his Pacific career due to injury playing in 16 total games. His junior year, he recorded a career-high seven tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in the season opener against Simon Fraser.

Flory graduated from Pacific in 2014 with a degree in exercise science - Integrated Physiology and earned his master's degree in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University.Â
