Jason Daily returns to the Pacific coaching staff for his third season as kickers coach after a standout college kicking career.
Daily spent one season as the punter at Portland State in 2003, working under current Pacific offensive coordinator Jim Craft. In his one season, Daily averaged 40.5 yards per punt. Prior to arriving on the Park Blocks, Daily spent one season as the primary punter at Michigan State. He finished fifth in the Big Ten with a 40.4-yard per punt average and had a season-long 66-yard boot against Notre Dame.
Prior to moving on to Division I, Daily spent two seasons punting at College of the Canyons in Valencia, Calif. A 2001 JC Grid-Wire First Team All-American, Daily earned All-Western State and All-California honors as a sophomore after averaging 40.7 yards per punt. Daily helped lead Canyons to an impressive 19-3 overall record.
A native of San Luis Obispo, Calif., Daily was an All-California Interscholastic Federation in both football and baseball. After amassing a 14-1 record as a starting pitcher his senior year, he was drafted by San Francisco Giants in the 2000 Major League Baseball draft.
Daily is a graduate of Portland State and has worked the last seven years as a financial planner. He and his wife, Stephanie, are the proud parents of son Garrett (2). Daily’s grandfather, Robert Clarke, is a former Pacific football player.
