Marc Moody Head Shot 2014

Marc Moody

Marc Moody enters into his fifth year in 2016 as a member of the Pacific coaching staff, now serving as the program’s defensive coordinator and linebacker coach.

Moody also oversees recruiting in Hawaii, Los Angeles, and the southern California inland empire.

A member of the first two teams of the reinstated Pacific football program (2010-11), Moody then moved into the role of defensive ends coach (2012). In 2013 he was named the defensive line coach, junior varsity coordinator and equipment manager.

This past year (2015), Moody orchestrated Pacific’s stop unit as the defensive coordinator.  In 2015, the Boxer defense shut down perennial offensive power Pacific Lutheran (34-7), allowing only a fourth quarter score. In 2014 as the defensive line coach, his squad ranked second in the NWC with 25 sacks in seven conference games. In 2013, they were first in the NWC with 35 sacks overall and 22 in conference contests.

Those numbers (3.5 sacks an outing) ranked fifth in NCAA Division III listings.

Moody was a standout linebacker for the Boxers before injuries shortened both of his 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Prior to arriving in Forest Grove, Moody spent one season at Saddleback JC in Mission Viejo, Calif., one season at the University of Hawaii and one season at Mississippi Valley State.  Moody played his prep football at the St. Louis School in Honolulu, where he was a 2007 Hawaii Honorable Mention All-State selection at free safety.

A native of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Moody graduated from Pacific in 2012 with a degree in philosophy.  He and his wife, Ashley have one daughter, Mia Lei.
