Working with the Boxers as an assistant coach in 2016 is former playing standout Garrick Knowles.
Knowles also served in 2015 as an assistant with both the varsity and reserve programs.
As a player, Knowles was a midfielder and defender who was a four-year starter for the Boxers (2011-14). As a senior, he earned Second Team All-Northwest Conference honors. In his Boxer career, he had five goals and 12 assists.
A native and graduate of Roseburg High School, Knowles was a two-time All-Southern Oregon Conference selection. His Indians squad twice qualified for the 6A state playoffs. He was also an all-district selection in golf.
A biology major, he earned his bachelor’s degree in 2015. He currently also works with the Willamette United Soccer Club, based in West Linn.
