Mike Wilson joins the staff for his first season with the Boxers in Fall 2022. He currently works as a Mental Performance Coach in Sports Psychology, having supported numerous teams, individuals, and professional groups.
Wilson has worked with Westmont College Men’s Soccer, University of California-Santa Barbara Men’s Soccer, Point Loma Nazarene Men’s Soccer, the Willamette University Athletic Department, and the Westmont College Track and Field program. He has experience coaching various club and high school groups and has his United State Soccer Federation “D” License.
Wilson played collegiate soccer at Concordia University-Portland in 2006, helping the team to the 2006 Cascade Collegiate Conference championship as a forward. He then completed his college soccer career at Azusa Pacific, winning the 2007 and 2008 Golden State Athletic Conference titles, and in 2007 contributed to APU capturing the 2007 NAIA National Championship title. He concluded his career being named the 2009 Teammate to the Year award, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in sport from Azusa Pacific in 2011. He also obtained his Mater’s degree in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University in 2014.
Wilson is a graduate of Sprague High School in Salem, and currently lives in Forest Grove.
