A 2012 graduate of Pacific University, Chelsey Chamberlain enters her second year serving as the Assistant Sports Information Director.
Chamberlain assists in the daily operations and media relations in the sports information office while serving as the primary contact for several sports, which compete as a part of NCAA Division III and The Northwest Conference. Those duties include daily communication with the media, promoting Pacific Athletics using the athletic departments website, www.goboxers.com and maintaining statistics for several sports.
Chamberlain graduated with a bachelor’s of arts in literature. During her four years as an undergraduate she worked in the Sports Information office, under Blake Timm, as an office assistant and statistician.
Chamberlain also played four years on the Pacific softball team. She became one of the most decorated players in Pacific softball history and one of the program’s top sluggers. Chamberlain ended her career as a four-time First Team All-Northwest Conference selection and a three-time NFCA All-West Region selection. Chamberlain holds the single season home run record (13), career home run record (44), and single season RBI record (63). Not only did Chamberlain hit the long ball, she also pitched during her four years at Pacific holding a 29-25 record. Chamberlain was selected as Pacific’s Outstanding Senior Athlete.
A Grants Pass native, Chamberlain won a state championship in 2008 for Grants Pass High School, knocking in the winning hit, which would go on to be the first softball state championship in school history. Chamberlain now resides in Forest Grove and will be apart of the Pacific softball coaching staff in the spring.
