Amber Magner is in her first year as an assistant women's basketball coach at Pacific University.
A former standout basketball player at New Orleans, Magner brings multiple years of coaching experience, including seven years as the head coach at California State University-Monterey Bay to Pacific University.
Previous to her brief stint as an intern within the Alaska Anchorage athletic department, Magner led CSUMB through the transition from a NAIA program to a Division II member.

In addition to her experience as a head coach at CSUMB, Magner also served as an assistant coach at ULM, Furman University for three seasons. She also brings 10-plus years of experience coaching, directing, and designing basketball camps across the country.

She began her playing career at Loyola Marymount before transferring to New Orleans to finish her career. During her time with the Privateers, Magner earned a Louisiana All-Academic Scholar Athlete Award and was named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner's All-Academic Team three times.

Magner earned both her bachelor's degree in business and master's degree in sports management from New Orleans. She also has her Ph. D in sports management from the United States Sports Academy.
