Kevin Berry begins his second season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Pacific University. Berry serves as the head JV women's basketball coach.
He helped the lady Boxers finish tied for second in the Northwest Conference in 2019-20 season finishing 11-5 in Conference play and 17-9 overall. The team made the NWC Tournament for the first time since 2009 and hosted their first home playoff game since 1996.Â
Berry before joining the staff at Pacific he spent four years as an assistant coach at Clackamas High School. As an assistant coach, they reached the state tournament all four years, including a sixth-place finish in 2018.
Prior to joining the staff at Clackamas High School, he was the head girls coach at Lakeridge HIgh School, where they reached the state tournament two out of his three years. He also gained valuable experience at La Salle High School (Varsity Boys Head Coach), Jesuit High School (Girls Varsity Assistant), Mt. Hood Community College (Assistant Women's Coach). He also has plenty of camp, clinic and personal training experience for various organizations.Â
The Portland native played high school basketball at La Salle High School in Milwaukie under legendary coach Jack Cleghorn, where they finished seventh and fifth.
He went on to earn his bachelor's degree at Oregon State in 2005 and a master's degree in sports administration from Arkansas State in 2019.
