Kolby Nikolaisen is in his fourth year coaching the pole vault for Pacific University's track and field program.

In his first season, Nikolaisen coached Jarod Moren to a second-place finish in the men’s pole vault at the Northwest Conference Championships.

Nikolaisen graduated from Pacific University with a B.A. in Business and a Masters in Business Administration. While at Pacific, Nikolaisen competed in the pole vault. He won the Northwest Conference Championships in the pole vault in 2017, and is the current school record holder in that event.
