MacKenzie Beeler is entering her fifth year as an assistant track coach for Pacific University’s track and field program. She primarily works with athletes competing in the sprints, relays, and horizontal jumps.

This past 2025 season, Beeler had five Top 3 finishes at the Northwest Conference Championships. She coached the men’s 4x100m relay team to their second straight first place finish in a time of 41.84, the fourth fastest time in school history. Soon after, seniors Zion Booker and Romel Moreland would finish first and second in the men’s 100m, both running a time 10.89 during the course of the meet and landing themselves seventh on Pacific’s All-Time Top Ten list. Senior Angelica Gatica Gomez would finish second in the women’s 400m, matching her performance from 2022. Sophomore Jonette Singh took third in the women’s triple jump for the second year in a row.

In the 2024 season, Beeler coached Lucas Dahl to two indoor school records in the 60m and 200m. She also took part in coaching the women’s indoor 4x400m team to a school record. At the NWC Outdoor Championships, Beeler led the men’s 4x100m relay team to a first place finish, beating out the reigning champions and breaking the school record in a time of 41.63. Dahl had two third place finishes in the 100m and 200m, while freshman Jonette Singh took third in the women’s triple jump.

In 2023 at the NWC Championships, Beeler accomplished three runner-up finishes. Beeler coached Lucas Dahl to two runner-up finishes in the 100m and 200m. The Men’s 4x100m relay team also were runner-ups and in the process, broke Pacific’s 47-year-old school record in a time of 41.78.

In 2022, Beeler coached Angelica Gatica Gomez to a runner-up finish in the women’s 400m at the NWC Championships

Beeler came to Pacific after spending 3.5 years as an assistant coach at Liberty High School in Oregon. While at Liberty, Beeler coached four track and field state qualifiers in the spring of 2019, including Aidan Maloney, the 110m Hurdles state champion, high jump runner-up, and High Point Male Athlete of the 6A State Meet. In the fall of 2019, Beeler helped coach the state qualifying girls team in cross country. In the winter and spring of 2021, Beeler was instrumental in helping sports return to play after the Covid-19 shut down at LHS. Her most recent achievement before joining the Boxers was coaching an individual girl’s state qualifier for the 2021 6A State Cross Country
Championships.

Beeler graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance in 2018. She then went on to earn her Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2021. She is from Hillsboro, Oregon and graduated from Liberty High School.
