Kady Forbes returns to the Pacific University volleyball staff after spending the last two years as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II, Western Oregon University.
Forbes spent the 2016 season as the Boxers' top assistant coach, where the Boxers posted a 14-12 overall record. During the season, Pacific knocked off Pacific Lutheran for the first time since 2003; plus, Boxers' Tiare Kaopua (First Team) and Jamie Steach (Honorable Mention) were recognized by the Northwest Conference.
She also has gained experience as a coach with the Athena Volleyball Club, a volunteer assistant at Eastern Washington University, and as the coach for the College Preparatory Academy U16s and sand coach in Spokane.
Forbes (then Kady Try) was a four-year starter as an outside hitter for the Wildcats. She was a First Team All-Great Northwest Conference pick as a senior, when she led the GNAC in kills per set (4.14) and in points. Her kill average was the second highest in CWU history. She is a native of Brentwood, Calif., but spent her final two prep years at Mead High School in Spokane, helping lead them to a state title while also earning Washington State High School Player of the Year honors.
Forbes along with her husband, Rob are the proud parents of a daughter, Olivia.
