Zach Binkerd was named men's and women's wrestling coach in the fall of 2022, returning to Pacific after a four-year wrestling career and a brief stint as an assistant coach for the program. 

Binker enjoyed a very successful 2021-22 campaign, leading Sagel Bush to the national meet.

Binkerd served as an assistant coach for a few seasons for the Boxers and helped three Boxer men's wrestlers reach the second round of the consolation round of the NCAA Division III West Regional in 2018-19 season. In the same season he helped four women wrestlers participate in the WCWA Wrestling Championships and two wrestlers earn Top four finishes at the Oregon Women's State Championship. 

He competed four years on the mats for the Boxers after wrestling four years in high school at Hillsboro and earned three top eight finishes at State including a second place finish in the Oregon 5A State Championships in the weight class of 119lbs. 

Binkerd earned his bachelor's degree in 2014 from Pacific. His father Kevin Binkerd also wrestled at Pacific and was inducted into the Pacific Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000.
