Ian enters his 3rd season as an assistant coach for the Boxers. The Oregon native played 4 years of college tennis at Oberlin College where he primarily competed at the top of the lineup. Paik was named NCAC 2nd team and newcomer of the year in 2014, NCAC 1st team 2015-2017, and ended as a top 50 player in the nation, amassing over 120 career wins.

After graduating from Oberlin in 2017, Paik moved back home to pursue Law, graduating from the Lewis & Clark Law School in 2021.Paik works as an Attorney & Policy Analyst while also coaching at OET (Oregon Elite Tennis).
