Tony Walther is in his sixth year as an assistant athletic trainer with Pacific University following his hiring in 2015.
 
At Pacific, Walther serves as the primary athletic trainer with the Pacific men's and women's tennis, women's soccer and women's basketball teams along with assisting with football. Prior to joining the Pacific athletic training staff, he served for 10 years on the staff at Corban University in Salem. He was hired as an assistant athletic trainer in the fall of 2005, Corban promoted Walther to head athletic trainer in the fall of 2009. Walther was responsible for coordinating and overseeing healthcare for all 13 varsity programs. 

Walther has also provided athletic training serves for area basketball camps (Mt. Hood Team Camp and NBC Team Camps) and the 2A/3A/4A State basketball All Star games every summer.  Walther has worked at the OSAA/U.S. Bank High School Track and Field Championships, the Les Schwab Bowl, and End of the Trail basketball tournaments.

Tony was a student-athlete himself in the Northwest Conference competing two seasons at George Fox. 

He received his bachelor’s degree in health and human performance (athletic training emphasis) from George Fox University in 2005, where he worked with the men’s soccer and baseball programs..
