PARKLAND, Wash. – Third place Pacific Lutheran completed a season sweep of Pacific with a 3-0 win over their visitors in volleyball action on Saturday night, 25-18, 25-23, 25-20 at Names Family Center.
The Lutes improved to 8-4 in the Northwest Conference and to 14-7 overall with the straight sets win. Pacific, who fell in five sets to second place Willamette on Friday night, dropped to 8-12 on the season and to 5-7 in the NWC.
The visiting Boxers jumped out to 8-4 leads in each of the first two sets but the Lutes rallied in both. Pacific had its best opportunity in the second set, leading at 20-16 but PLU scored six straight points to steal the lead and the momentum.

Marie Rewick led all student-athletes with 14 kills and 15 digs.
Lia Zablan added 13 digs and zipped in three aces.
The Boxers will head east next weekend for Friday and Saturday (Oct. 30-31) matches at Whitworth (7 p.m.) and Whitman (5 p.m.).
