Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Boxers win third straight, top Geoducks 75-60

FOREST GROVE, Ore. — K.C. Harrison had 17 points and Skyler Burgess added 14 scores and eight rebounds as the Pacific men's basketball team topped Evergreen State 75-60 in a non-conference game at the Stoller Center on Tuesday night.

With the victory, Pacific has now won three in a row to improve to 6-3 on the season. The Geoducks dropped to 4-6 with the loss.

Burgess had all 14 of his points in the first half, including a lay-up at the halftime buzzer that gave Pacific its biggest lead of the first 20 minutes at 42-25. Burgess missed only once before intermission (7-for-8) and did not take a shot in the second half.

Pacific went on a 9-1 run to start the second half to push the lead to 25 points just three minutes in. The Boxers cleared the bench soon as 15 different players saw action.

Harrison hit six of 12 shots on his way to his highest point total since he had 18 in the season opener against Macalester. Nate Olowo just missed a double-double with eight points and nine rebounds. Six of his boards were on the offensive end. Pacific out-rebounded the Geoducks 50-31.

The Geoducks were led by Taylor Drey's 14 points off the bench. Evergreen State played without Danny Powell, their leading scorer and rebounder on the season.

The Boxers will take some time off for finals before returning home on Sunday, December 20 for another non-conference contest at the Stoller Center. Pacific will host Occidental in a 1 p.m. tip-off and won't play again until Dec. 29 at Portland Bible.
