Jelena Vidovic (Fr., Vancouver, Wash.) kept their college career-opening winning streak alive Saturday, picking up her sixth straight victory in singles to lead Pacific in an 8-1 loss to Lewis & Clark in Northwest Conference women's tennis action at the LC Tennis Dome.

Vidovic provided for the Boxers' lone win of the match against the Pioneers, ranked No. 36 in the latest ITA Division III National Poll, pulling through a gritty first set in the No. 2 match to beat Aurora Garrison 7-5, 6-2.

"Lewis & Clark is a solid team and they gave us a tough match today," said Pacific Assistant Coach
Karen Wells. "The ladies fought hard up and down the lineup and we're getting better as a team with each match. Congratulations to Jelena for battling through a close first set to get the win."

The Pioneers (6-2, 4-0 NWC) rolled their way through the doubles lineup to take the early 3-0 lead. Christine Eliazo and Kacey Incerpi opened with an 8-4 win over
Kaitlyn Lomartire (So., Portland, Ore.) and Vidovic in the No. 1 flight. Summer Garrison and Claudia Lew downed
Sidney Smith (Fr., Olympia, Wash.) and
Mai Kobayashi (Fr., Waikoloa, Hawaii) in No. 2 and Wiktoria Plawska and Aurora Garrison beat
Kanani Kea (Fr., Mililani, Hawaii) and
Kelly Flores (So., Ewa Beach, Hawaii) in the No. 3 flight, both by 8-0 scores.

In singles, Summer Garrison was a 6-0, 6-4 winner over Lomartire at No. 1, while Lew scored a 7-5. 6-0 win over Smith at No. 3. Glenna Taylor-Gee beat Kobayashi 6-4, 6-0 at No. 4. Elaizo collected a 6-3, 6-1 win over
Carlee Rhodaback (Jr., Albany, Ore.) at No. 5 while Gillian Lowe was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Kea at No. 6.

With the loss, Pacific fell to 3-3, 2-3 NWC. The Boxers are back in action on Sunday, playing at Linfield at 11 a.m.
