PORTLAND, Ore. — Host Lewis & Clark scored twice in the first half and added an insurance goal in the second stanza to take a 3-0 win over Pacific in women's soccer on Sunday afternoon at Griswold Stadium.
The Pioneers improved to 6-2 on the season and to 2-2 in Northwest Conference play. Pacific, who tied Puget Sound 0-0 on Saturday, fell to 1-3-1 in NWC action and to 1-7-1 overall.
The hosts got goals from Megan Ratfield and Kelly Priest before halftime and tacked on one more by Karley Pate after the break. The Pioneers kept the Boxer defense busy with 11 corner kicks and 14 shots (six on goal). Pacific fired five shots at the L&C defense, two of them on goal.
The Boxers will be idle the next seven days before hosting Linfield next Sunday (Oct. 4) at Hanson Stadium (noon).
