Tyler Howe picked up Pacific's lone win on Saturday during a men's dual wrestling match at Southwestern Oregon CC.
Howe topped Zachary Hammerschmith 11-4 at the Student Recreation Center, but the Lakers recorded wins across the rest of the board to claim the match, 47-3.
Howe, a sophomore in eligibility (Aumsville, Ore./Cascade HS), wrestling at 174 pounds, improved to 7-4 on the season with the victory.
Pacific had to forfeit two matches to help account for the SWOCC point total. The Boxers also had a couple of near misses, with heavyweight
Tyler Kailiuli falling by decision to Timothy Smith by just two points (6-4), while
Christian Guerra lost to Fransisco Barrera at 125 pounds, 11-5.
Pacific and SWOCC will tangle again this coming weekend, this time at the Stoller Center on Saturday (Jan. 16) at 6 p.m. Pacific will also host the Boxer Open on Sunday (Jan. 17), start time is set for 10 a.m.
